AI Agent Development Services

Agents that are able to plan, carry out, and complete multi-step tasks within your actual systems—obtaining human approval where this is necessary. We design, construct, and manage agentic workflows that prove reliable in production, not just in a demonstration.

Sound familiar?

When agents are the right answer

Multi-step work eats your team's week

Things such as quoting, issuing invoices, onboarding customers, and reporting—workflows that involve five different tools and require a judgment call at every stage—are still carried out by hand.

Your tools don't talk to each other

The data is there, but it takes up the entire working time of a human to transfer it from the CRM, ERP, inbox, and spreadsheets.

Chatbots weren't enough

You had used assistants who were able to answer questions but not capable of carrying out any actions. What you need is software that can carry out tasks.

Capabilities

What we build

Custom AI agents

Agents that are designed for a specific purpose and are based on a single workflow consisting of reading, deciding, and taking action according to clear rules, including an approval stage where required because of the stakes involved.

Multi-agent orchestration

Teams of specialized agents — a planner, executors, and a reviewer — that hand work to each other, coordinated so the entire workflow is completed reliably.

MCP integrations

We integrate agents with your CRM, your ERP system, your databases, and your internal tools by means of the Model Context Protocol, enabling them to act on current data rather than on outdated exports.

Agentic workflow automation

The mundane middle stages of business processes—such as using the browser, handling documents, drafting emails, and carrying out system updates—are automated from end to end.

Guardrails & human approval

The permission boundaries, action allow-lists, and human-in-the-loop checkpoints have been incorporated into the architecture from the beginning rather than being added upon occurrence of an incident.

Agent evals & monitoring

Each agent comes with an evaluation suite and production monitoring, enabling you to observe what it did, the reasons for it, and how reliably it did so — both before and after it is launched.

The SoftmaxAI Method

Every engagement runs spec-first, agent-accelerated, human-owned.

01 / SPECSpec

A written specification that has been approved by the client prior to any coding taking place — covering the architecture, the edge cases, and the acceptance criteria.

02 / BUILDBuild, with agents

The engineers arrange for the AI agents to carry out the specification in parallel, taking weeks rather than quarters.

03 / VERIFYVerify

The evaluations, tests, and security checks are carried out together with the build, and humans examine every decision that is important.

04 / SHIPShip & improve

The system has been deployed to your GCP or AWS, complete with monitoring, production evaluations, and retraining loops.

A knowledge-grounded assistant that speeds up support resolution

An internal support assistant which enables employees to resolve technical problems by asking questions in plain language and receiving answers based on the organization's own documentation, rather than having to go through error logs and refer to dispersed sources.

FAQ

Questions, answered.

What's the difference between an AI agent and a chatbot?
A chatbot answers questions in a conversation. An agent completes tasks: it plans steps, calls tools and systems, checks its own results, and finishes work. Most of our agent projects have no chat interface at all — they live inside workflows.
How do you keep agents from doing something they shouldn't?
Three layers: architectural permissions (agents can only reach the systems and actions we explicitly wire in), policy guardrails checked at runtime, and human approval checkpoints for consequential actions. You decide where the approval gates sit during the spec stage.
Can agents work with our internal and legacy tools?
Yes — that's usually the core of the job. We connect through APIs where they exist, MCP servers we build for your internal systems, and structured document handling where they don't.
How do you measure whether an agent is reliable enough to deploy?
Every agent gets an evaluation suite: a battery of real scenarios with expected outcomes, run before every release and continuously in production. We agree pass thresholds with you in the spec, and the agent doesn't ship until it clears them.
Should we build a custom agent or buy an off-the-shelf one?
If your workflow is generic, buy. If it crosses your internal systems, encodes your business rules, or touches sensitive data, off-the-shelf tools usually stall at a demo — that's when custom pays off. We'll tell you honestly which side your use case falls on.
